New age technology for Newport

28 Apr 2020

State of the art innovation is about to arrive in Newport, New South Wales.

The Sydney Northern Beaches suburb will soon see 18 luxury, smart and sustainable townhouses built, as part of a new development known as Qubec.

Every Qubec town home will have a complete fit out of next generation technology. In fact, according to a recent realestate.com.au article, the technology being included in the three-bedroom plus study, three-storey townhouses is a new benchmark for the peninsula.

“Number plate recognition from the gates allows residents to drive straight into the complex and their own private double garage, fingerprint access means if you leave the house keys behind you can still enter the townhouse and a simple voice command turns on the air conditioning and lights.”

Voice commands to turn on the air con and lights sound familiar? YES! As mentioned in an earlier article, Quantify’s smart home solution will be installed to enable control of devices, appliances, lights, air conditioning, blinds and curtains from anywhere, anytime, with voice, touch or app control.

As mentioned on the Qubec website, “smart technologies allow for an unprecedented level of security and control, not seen before in a project of this type in Australia. Collaborations between leading companies including Fisher & Paykel, Quantify Technology and numerous other leading suppliers, will see new products and systems showcased, making a significant mark in the Australian residential development landscape.”

The complex is being developed by The Stable Group who also built award-winning development, The Burcham in Rosebery, which is home to a Harvey Norman Commercial Division (HNCD) display apartment featuring Quantify’s devices.

Founded in 2003 by Danny Flynn and Ed Horton, Stable is an innovative, award-winning Australian development and property services company with a vision to challenge convention and create smart, vibrant, and environmentally sustainable developments.

Danny Flynn said having Quantify’s products installed at Qubec would reinforce Stable’s philosophy, which is to create world-class projects that deliver financial, environmental, cultural and communal benefits to every stakeholder.

“Quantify’s smart home solution has worked very well at The Burcham and we are confident it will assist us in our mission to redefine the future of design innovation and sustainability,” he said.

But it’s more than just smart home control that is being offered to potential buyers, which is why Quantify is beyond proud to be involved in the development.

Alongside Quantify will be biometric fingerprint control, for front gate and front door access. Importantly, homeowners will be able to; issue SMS coded messages to allow friends and family to gain access, and; answer the doorbell from anywhere in the world.

Each townhouse will generate their own power through solar panels and battery storage, have their own private elevator, plus, homeowners will have access to numerous outdoor spaces from a downstairs courtyard to balconies and a private rooftop barbecue terrace, with edible garden full of homegrown herbs and tomatoes.

More about Newport and the Qubec development:

The 18 townhouses range in size internally from 180 to 205sqm and in total the townhouses have up to 450sqm on title, with prices ranging from $2.95 million to $3.5 million.

Qubec town homes are a picture of form and function, wrapped up in new age design and construction that exudes effortless elegance.

Originally a holiday destination, Newport is now a sought-after location for aspirational families from outside the area, and local “downsizers” looking to stay in the community they love.

Qubec is blessed with nearby surf beaches, and is minutes to some of the finest yacht clubs in the country, and has access to one of Australia’s most prized waterways, Pittwater.
